The Blackwood Amplification Nova 266 bass head harkens back to the glory days of all-tube, low-wattage, tone-rich bass guitar amplifiers. When played at low gain settings the Nova 266 provides beautiful warm tones with smooth, natural compression. Gradually increasing the gain control will take you through an array of tonal options ranging from the sound of early soul recordings all the way up to full-on fuzz.  While the Nova 266’s 35 watts provide enough clean volume for small-venue settings it really shines when used to augment a DI’d signal for recording.
